The Pylontech UP5000 is a lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery with a capacity of 4.8 kWh and a voltage of 48V. It's designed to provide backup power for residential and small commercial applications, such as:

The Pylontech UP5000 has a discharge voltage of 44.5 Vdc and a charge voltage of 52.5 ~ 53.5 Vdc. It has a continuous charge and discharge current of 50 amps, 74-89 amps at 60 seconds, and 90-200 amps at peak at 15 seconds
 
The Pylontech UP5000 can be upgraded to 0.9C rating capabilities through a firmware update. It can also be paralleled up to 16 batteries. 
With proper maintenance, Pylontech lithium batteries can last anywhere from 5 to 15 years depending on usage, temperature, and depth of discharge.
